Nothing Natural About Fracked Gas

United for a better future.

Power Past Fracked Gas works to protect the health and safety of Pacific Northwest communities and climate by accelerating an equitable transition off fossil fuels.

Power Past Fracked Gas is a growing coalition of Pacific Northwest health, environmental, faith, and community groups that believe in the power of clean energy and the value of clean water. We oppose new fracked gas infrastructure that locks our region into decades of continued reliance on dirty energy and harmful projects. We support and build on the work of ally coalitions Power Past Coal and Stand Up to Oil.

Mission, Vision, Values

Our communities have said no to new coal and oil infrastructure, so now the fossil fuel industry is shifting to fracked gas. Clean energy is the energy of today; fossil fuels like fracked gas are the energy of yesterday. We’ve committed to cleaner, plentiful sources of energy like solar and wind that don’t threaten our air and water–and, unlike fossil fuels, are getting cheaper by the day. We can’t let the fossil fuel industry reclaim its monopoly on our energy system. Clean energy cuts pollution in our communities, protecting our water and health while creating long-term, good-paying jobs.

We are proud of our progress on clean energy solutions. Clean energy investments are driving down energy costs and creating stable, high-paying jobs that are right here at home, can’t be outsourced, and help keep our air and water clean.
